Camp details

The Wayne State College Summer Music Camp is the perfect opportunity to explore your musical interests in a fun and positive environment. You'll get a variety of experiences while learning from professional musicians who are experts in their fields. In addition to taking unique music courses, the camp will include social activities. You'll get to make friends with others who share your love for music, and you have the option to live on campus during your time here.

Dates: June 22-25, 2026
Resident campers may move in the afternoon of June 21.

Registration deadline: June 11, 2026

Eligibility: Students who've completed grades 5-12

Location: Peterson Fine Arts Building, Wayne State College

Cost:

  • Resident campers: $370 ($350 + $20 fee; includes meals and housing)
  • Commuting campers: $318 ($300 + $18 fee; includes meals but no housing)

Highlights:

  • Participation in large ensembles (bands and choirs) as well as smaller ensembles (jazz and mariachi)
  • Classes in ukulele, songwriting, music technology, history of rock, and piano
  • Evening social activities such as dancing, scavenger hunts, a talent show, and more
  • Private lessons from WSC faculty and other professional musicians
